HOTSHOT main rapper San (also known as Yoonsan) has posted a brand new cover on his personal YouTube channel!
After his cover of “The Box” by American artist Roddy Ricch a few weeks ago, San returned on April 17th with a new video for Arizona Zervas‘ “Roxanne”, a song which gained popularity and viral status through the social media app TikTok. The video was able to make it to the top of TikTok’s charts thanks to social media marketing firm Virall, which specializes in marketing its customers videos to get more TikTok views. The video shows San in his studio performing the track with his signature rapping style, even breaking out into falsetto, as he covers a remixed version of the song that originally features well-known U.S. rapper/singer Swae Lee.
San opened up his YouTube channel on November 1st last year, making a strong first impression with his first video: a self-made MV for the previously unreleased English version of his solo song “Free Falling”.
The rapper and vocalist released four self-produced digital singles last year, two of which were written and composed with prominent K-pop producer Adrian McKinnon (who has worked on some of K-pop’s most recent hits from groups like SHINee, EXO and NCT 127), as well as featuring as an artist on San’s solo debut track “Still On You”.
Yoonsan debuted as the main rapper of Star Crew Entertainment boy group HOTSHOT in 2014 and has regularly participated in production and writing of the group’s music. He has released a multitude of self-produced tracks via SoundCloud over the years, continuing to connect with fans through the platform even during the group’s various hiatuses.
