The upcoming film “The Great Battle’’ is composed of a star-studded cast and an emotional true story that is sure to thrill fans!
The historical film (formerly known as “Ansi Fortress”) tells the true story of Yang Man Chun and other soldiers who fought and defended the Ansi Fortress for 88 days against 500,000 invaders of the Tang Dynasty.
Famous actor Jo In Sung plays Yang Man Chun, the general of the Goguryeo troops who leads a small but skilled group of soldiers, played by Nam Joo Hyuk (“Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo), AOA‘s Seolhyun (“Memoir of a Murderer”), Um Tae Goo (“The Age of Shadows”), Park Byung Eun (“Inrang: The Wolf Brigade”) ,Bae Sung Woo (“The Swindlers”), and more.
Meanwhile, famous actor Park Sung Woong (“The Spy Gone North,” “Life on Mars”) plays the emperor of the Tang Dynasty.
Other notable cast members include beloved actor Sung Do Il (“Miss Hammurabi”), Jang Gwang (“About Time”), and Oh Dae Hwan (“Life on Mars”).
“The Great Battle’’ premiers on September 19th in Korean cinemas.
