On March 17th at 6 p.m. KST, gugudan‘s Sejeong finally released her first solo mini-album and dropped the music video for her title track, “Plant”!
Her mini-album, which shares the same name, boasts of five tracks. All of them were co-written and co-composed and a few of the songs were produced by the idol herself.
“Plant” in particular was written and composed by singer-songwriter Sungwoo Jungah. The mellow song has lyrics that reflect on the solace that is found from watching a small potted plant grow.
Kim Sejeong joined “Produce 101” in 2016 and became a member of the line-up composed of the winning trainees. She gained attention while in I.O.I and then debuted with gugudan under Jellyfish Entertainment. She released a song called “Tunnel” as part of Dingo Music‘s special project back in December.
