DNA Entertainment boy group GreatGuys is gearing up for their third mini-album We’re Not Alone – Chapter 2 : You & Me on July 8th, but they have treated fans to the first of their double title tracks with the release of “In Summer.”
The city-pop genre song is a rearrangement of K-pop duo DEUX’s 1994 hit of the same name. It is reborn with impressive disco elements and a punchy drum beat as the cheerful melody presents both K-pop nostalgia and contemporary sounds.
A special video for the song was pre-released digitally as a surprise gift for fans on June 26th with a special video featuring behind-the-scenes clips from the group’s overseas tours, most notably from their recent tour in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic where they became the first K-pop group ever to ever perform there.
However, the official music video for the track was released on July 4th at 6 p.m KST and sees the nine members having fun at the beach and dancing cute choreography in colorful summer outfits, perfectly reflecting the bright nature of the song. At a running time of almost six minutes, including outtakes and bonus content at the end, this is a feel-good video that is sure to make you smile.
GreatGuys has been revealing image teasers for the upcoming album since May, where the much-anticipated sequel to 2019’s We’re Not Alone – Chapter 1 : It’s You was first announced, following the successful completion of the group’s online “Enjoy At Home Concert” series.
While “In Summer” is a more candid and relaxed concept for the boys, the MV teaser for the comeback’s main title track “Run” presents the boys in a darker, more polished light. The former of the two being what we have come to expect from the rising group who have given us sophisticated tracks such as “Illusion” and “Be On You.” Check out the teaser below.
GreatGuys’ third mini-album We’re Not Alone – Chapter 2 : You & Me will be released on July 8th at 12 p.m KST, along with the “Run” MV.

Justin is an avid K-pop fanboy and a lifelong lover of music with a passion for sharing his love of underrated and lesser known groups. GreatGuys are one of his favorite K-pop groups, he has been a fan since their debut and even landed this spot as a WhatTheKpop writer after submitting an article on them in his application. For him, it’s a great (pun intended!) pleasure and honor to write about them, as he is constantly impressed by their growth and the direction of their music and performances, as well as how grounded and genuine they seem as people.
