On June 18th at 12 p.m. KST, GreatGuys released their fifth mini-album RECORD OF YOUTH EP.1 DESTINY and its title track, “LUV LUV LUV.”
In the same vain as previous singles “GANDA,” “DANG!,” and “Touch by Touch,” the DNA Entertainment boy group bring back their bright and bubbly energy which is a stark contrast to last year’s dark vampire-bodyguard concept in “Blind Love.”
“LUV LUV LUV” is a song in the synth-wave genre with a cool and refreshing flux sound lead and an addictive vocal sample. It is a song about pure love with a bouncy melody and witty lyrics that straightforwardly express honest hearts and feelings. GreatGuys rapper Dongin wrote and composed the track with artist NUVO while member Haneul choreographed the dance.
RECORD OF YOUTH EP.1 DESTINY kicks off a brand new album series for the boys, following the We’re Not Alone series which began in 2019. The fifth mini-album contains the B-side track “Only You” (a fan song with a simple, soft melody and a message of love and gratitude to the fandom) and “Grace” in addition to the Japanese and instrumental versions of both “LUV LUV LUV” and “Only You.”
