On August 26th at 6 p.m. KST, JAY B took charge by releasing a solo album and a music video for one of his title tracks, “B.T.W”.
The song was co-written and co-composed by the singer himself, alongside producer Cha Cha Malone and Jay Park. SOMO:Fume (Style of my own:Fume) is JAY B’s first solo album and his first EP under H1GHR Music. With seven titles included in its track list, it also features his previously released single, “Switch It Up.”
JAY B debuted as leader JB of JYP Entertainment‘s GOT7 back in January 2014. In January 2021, after seven years of being in the company, he and the rest of his group decided to part ways with their label. He joined the global independent hip-hop agency H1GHR Music, founded by Jay Park and Cha Cha Malone, last May.
