On January 30th at 1 p.m. KST, GOT7‘s Jackson Wang started off his solo musical activities for 2021 on a sentimental note through his digital release and music video, “Alone.”
Written by BOYTOY, Disko, and Jackson Wang himself, its lyrics sing about walking a desolate path all alone. Team Wang collaborated with Ojun Kwon and Always Run Film Production to create the music video.
The artist introduced three singles last year: “100 Ways” in March, “Pretty Please” with Galantis in September, and “Should’ve Let Go” with JJ Lin in December.
Meanwhile, Jackson Wang and the rest of GOT7 recently departed from JYP Entertainment after spending seven years under their management. Their contract officially expired on January 19th KST, just three days after the group’s anniversary.
The members are currently deciding to pursue their own paths while still remaining part of the group. As for Jackson Wang, he announced that Team Wang, his personal agency, has partnered with Sublime Artist Agency to handle international activities.
