WATCH: Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon Shows You “Heaven” In New MV

On July 8th at 6 p.m. KST — seven months since her last comeback — Taeyeon is back with an upbeat summer dance song to beat the heat!

“Heaven” contains the Girls’ Generation member’s fluid vocal prowess and rhythmic guitar to create a lighthearted atmosphere as the dreamy synth sound makes you feel as if heaven is unfolding in front of you.

The lyrics written by Lee O Neul, Leslie, Moon Ji Young (lalala studio), and Jo Yoon Kyung, compare the fulfillment of a longing desire to heaven. Meanwhile, producers Dino Medanhodzic, Maia Wright, and Libby Whitehouse created the composition.

The music video depicts the story of a woman who equates heaven with eating delicious food with her loved one and carefully prepares food to take to him there. Surrounded by creepy production, Taeyeon’s performance includes choreography that captures the exhilaration and ecstasy of reaching heaven.
