On November 8th at 12 p.m. KST, Gihwan – former rapper of boy group SIGNAL returned to the scene with his first digital single, “Running To You.”
It is a song that tells the story of lovers who cannot be apart for too long and the inner conflict that even when you try to run away you find yourself coming back to each other. The track was written, composed, and arranged by songwriter Damian who has previously worked with Gihwan and his former SIGNAL members on the group’s 2019 debut “Down For You” and their final release, “Goodbye.”
“Running To You” is a melodic hip-hop song showcasing Gihwan’s beautiful vocals as well as his powerful rap, and marks a new start in the rapper’s career months after SIGNAL confirmed their disbandment. Another former member of the group, Kyuhwan, also recently made his debut in August as soloist LYSON with his song, “Marigold.”
The accompanying music video for “Running To You” was uploaded to the “DOOKIS두키” YouTube channel which Gihwan shares with his friend whose name is also Gihwan and a former member of idol group, Atomic Kiz (under the stage name Jinhan.)
