On August 3rd at 6 p.m. KST, (G)I-DLE added their own soundtrack to summer with “DUMDi DUMDi.”
Member Soyeon wrote the lyrics for the single and co-produced the song with Poptime. The latter might be recognizable to some as they had produced projects for artists such as ZICO and Block B.
The dance pop song blends tropical and moombahton sounds to create a fun youthful feel fitting for the group’s first ever summer track. A Chinese version (with the translation and guide co-credited to Yuqi) was also released by the group.
(G)-IDLE previously had a comeback with “Oh my god” in April featuring a much darker concept. They also released their third digital single called “I’m the Trend” as well as an English version of their earlier hit, “Latata.”

Katherine has been an ELF since 2010. She reads just about anything and is raising a pride of demanding cats. She’s been cold and sleepy these past few days, wondering if she really needs to go to work. Being poor and asleep sounds more and more appealing by the moment. But there are cats to feed so too bad for her.
