On January 14th at 6 p.m. KST, GFRIEND released their second album, entitled Time for Us and followed it up by dropping the MV for their title track, “Sunrise”!
The song “Sunrise” was written by No Joo Hwan and Lee Won Jong, who were also behind GFRIEND’s song “Time for the Moon Night.” The lyrics for the new title track paint the story of a girl developing feelings for someone she describes as a person who embodies a sunrise.
GFRIEND combines the charm of a fairy tale and a nostalgic vintage feel to create a fitting background for the song. The group also made sure to include their trademark choreography to bring a surge of energy into the music video.
The album Time for Us contains twelve new songs and comes in three different versions: DAYBREAK, DAYTIME, and MIDNIGHT.
