WATCH: Genre-Bending Vocal Group CREZL Debuts Original Music In “Forbidden Love” MV

Vocal quartet CREZL has released their debut mini-album CRE:㘉 on April 11th at 6 p.m. KST!

CREZL stands out as a true crossover group with each of the four members bringing together extensive experience from their fields within the performing arts. They often sing a fusion of Korean, English, and Italian.

The title track “Forbidden Love” blends all these styles and backgrounds, which has always been CREZL’s charm. Members Seungmin and Suin participated in composing and writing the song, respectively.

The debut EP contains a total of five tracks including covers of Stevie Wonder’s “Don’t You Worry ‘Bout A Thing” and Andrea Bocelli and Matteo Bocelli‘s “Fall On Me.”

Leader Kyuhyung is a musical actor who has appeared in Korean adaptations of award-winning Broadway shows including “Something Rotten,” “Wicked,” and currently “Dear Evan Hansen.” Meanwhile, Jinho is the main vocalist of the idol group PENTAGON and is also a producer, lyricist, dancer, musical actor and vocal coach.

Additionally, Suin is a Korean traditional musician and Changgeuk singer, which is a genre of traditional Korean opera performed as a play in the style of Korean folk music “pansori.”  Lastly, the youngest member Seungmin is an award-winning, classically trained baritone who performs in operas as a classical vocalist.

The group officially debuted as a team last June, during the final episode of the musical program “Phantom Singer 4,” where they came in third place. Their name is a combination of the English word “Creative” and the Korean word “즐겁다” (“Jeulgeopda”) which means joyful or fun.
