fromis_9 is back with their third single album Supersonic on August 12th at 6 p.m. KST, offering a cool break from the unrelenting summer heat.
The title track “Supersonic” explodes with excitement as the girl group puts a sensual melody on top of a fast-tempo Miami bass beat. The members’ refreshing vocals add to the song’s catchiness and the highly addictive chorus is easy to sing along with after just one listen.
“Supersonic” lyrically presents a message of hope that unexpected excitement will always be there to save you from a hot and exhausting summer day. The music video is an extension of this message, using metaphors and symbolism to express escaping the heat.
The energetic performance not only shows the cute and pretty charms of fromis_9 but also their fit and sexy sides. The point choreography of waving both hands up and down expresses the concept of running at supersonic speed to save you from the heat.
Supersonic contains two additional tracks “Beat The Heat” and “Take A Chance” which also capture the summer anthem concept. fromis_9 members Saerom and Jiwon participated in writing both songs while Seoyeon contributed to the lyrics on the latter.
