Former JBJ member Kwon Hyunbin has made his solo debut!
On August 19th at 6 p.m. KST, the young idol who now goes by the name VIINI, released his first solo mini-album as well as a music video for his title track, “GENIE.”
The song talks about for wanting to fulfill any request from a special someone and its music video shows VIINI while he is being consumed by the thoughts and memories of his lover.
“GENIE” was co-written by VIINI and iHwak. The two were joined by Future Bounce and Leon during the composing process to create the final result. All four songs in his mini album, entitled Dimension, had lyrics and compositions that were personally created by VIINI.
Kwon Hyunbin first debuted as a model under YG K+ prior to joining hit idol survival show, “Produce 101 Season 2.” He then formally launched his career with project group JBJ and promoted with them from 2017 until their disbandment in 2018.
