WATCH: FIESTAR Stirs Up Nostalgia With Independently-Released “You’re pitiful (2024 Ver.)” MV

On August 31st KST, FIESTAR delighted fans with the remake of their digital single its music video, “You’re pitiful (2024 Ver.)!

The song was written by YEZI, ELLY, 4th Batter, and Shinsadong Tiger and was originally introduced in 2015 as the title track of the group’s first mini-album, Black Label. Its lyrics sing about how the tables have turned since a miserable break-up with their former lover.

The group announced the release of “You’re pitiful (2024 Ver.)”a few days ago and stated that this special single is a gift to their fans for their twelfth anniversary.

All five members who participated personally worked on the project from planning to production with Cao Lu leading the way to make this comeback possible. Back in May, Cao Lu shared that she had bought partial rights to their songs with plans of remaking them.

Katherine grew up watching Korean dramas and other Asian shows. Although she first learned to appreciate Korean music through OSTs broadcasted locally, it wasn’t until 2011 that she properly paid attention to K-pop. She holds a fondness for SEVENTEEN and NCT and would recommend (G)I-DLE, Dreamcatcher, XG, and KISS OF LIFE to whoever cared to listen.

MEDIA: SUPER SOUND, BUGS!
