Baekhyun is back with new music after three and a half years!
The EXO main vocalist released his highly anticipated fourth mini-album Hello, World on September 6th at 6 p.m. KST. The triumphant return is the singer’s first release under his own agency, INB100.
The title track “Pineapple Slice” is an R&B pop song with a catchy bass line and Baekhyun’s more mature vocals. Its lyrics compare his powerful and irresistible charm to the sweetest slice of pineapple. Lyricist Park Tae Won and British singer-songwriter Shakka wrote the song while the latter artist also composed the track along with Eljay, Forever Noh, TMM, and Dom Rivinius.
The music video reinterprets the lyrical concept of “Pineapple Slice” as a vampire’s thirst for the sweetest blood. The filming took place on location in Barcelona, Spain with the backdrop and overwhelming scale creating a movie-like experience.
Baekhyun transforms into a chic vampire with captivating visual beauty while he makes a memorable solo performance on the water and group dance sequences on the streets of Barcelona.
Hello, World is an impressive R&B EP that contains six songs of various styles and moods completed by Baekhyun’s stronger and deeper vocals.
