Eric Nam has returned and with an all-new, upbeat sound in “Potion” featuring Woodie Gochild!
On April 9th, the official music video for Eric Nam’s newest track was released. Unlike the majority of the singer’s past tracks, “Potion” is a incredibly upbeat techno-pop track with a Spanish flair. The addictive melody is based on an acoustic backing track and highlighted with electronic lifts that drop straight into the chorus. This is definitely a party song, with lyrics telling everyone to “be young and wild” and “pour up the potion.”
The music video was filmed in Mexico and features incredible visuals of floral gardens, gorgeous architecture, dancing couples, and an old-fashioned club scene. Eric is seen drinking and eyeing a dancing beauty before ultimately finding himself at the celebration of a lifetime. Woodie Gochild is the featuring rapper who has dropped recent hits such as “YeLowS Gang” with Sik-K and “Let’s Get It” with Jay Park and Dok2. Tablo of Epik High collaborated in writing lyrics for “Potion” as well!
The Korean-American singer from Atlanta, Georgia has made his mark throughout the Korean entertainment industry in many ways since his debut back in 2013, including his music, his hosting on various programs, and his knack for interviews with visiting foreign artists.
Eric also recently announced and began sales of his second U.S tour, entitled “Honestly,” which will be hitting fifteen states throughout the entire month of June!
“Potion” is a track on Eric Nam’s third mini-album also titled Honestly. Famous producers such as Jake Torrey and Chris Wallace collaborated in the album along with many more. Look forward to the title track of the same name, “Honestly,” which is expected to have a music video released quite soon.
