Singer Jung Joonyoung‘s project band Drug Restaurant is back at it again with an all new track!
On August 4th at 12 p.m. KST, the indie-rock band’s new music video for “Drink O2 in the water” was released. The song is completely in English, and the music video is a lyrical video, showcasing those English lyrics. It talks about getting out of the house and getting the best out of life by “drinking the water” until you can’t drink anymore.
“Drink O2 in the water” is the title track of Drug Restaurant’s mini album titled Pomade. Pomade is a unique album for Korean artists, considering all 6 songs are written and performed completely in English! Jung Joonyoung had previously mentioned his interest in learning and singing more in English, and the band didn’t disappoint with this self-written album.
Jung Joonyoung originally gained popularity through his time on popular singing competition show, Superstar K. He is also known as a popular television personality due to his strange behavior that fits variety shows and comedy dramas so well. When not on variety broadcasts or promoting with Drug Restaurant, Jung Joonyoung is active as a solo artist with a slightly different feeling to his music as such.
Drug Restaurant originally debuted just over a year ago, back in June 2016, with their self-titled album and title track “Mistake.”
Drug Restaurant will also be starting their first international tour this month beginning in Japan, before heading to Europe in September! Possible future dates and locations are ‘to be announced.’
