Woollim Entertainment boy group DRIPPIN is back with their fourth single album Beautiful MAZE and new music video on April 3rd at 6 p.m. KST.
The title track “Beautiful MAZE” is a song in the new wave genre that combines synth-pop sounds with up-tempo rhythms, while the intro features a mournful whistle and a rising drum ‘n’ bass beat. The song compares the pain of love and separation and any efforts to escape these feelings to being stuck in a maze.
Music production team Stupid Squad created the track, with its various members— including RYVNG, O.V, Maynine, and Oh Hyoung Seok—working on the lyrics, composition and arrangement.
Currently, DRIPPIN is promoting as a five-member group comprised of Yunseong, Hyeop, Dongyun, Minseo and Junho— as member Changuk is on hiatus to rest and recover from a respiratory illness.
Although Changuk was able to participate in the comeback recording and jacket photoshoot (so you can still hear his voice on the record and pictures in physical copies of the album), the vocalist is noticeably absent from the “Beautiful MAZE” music video and will be sitting out of promotions for the time being. We wish Changuk a speedy recovery and return to top form soon!
In the meantime, check out the MV for “Beautiful MAZE” below!
