Back after a military hiatus with a brand new album of self-written and composed work, DAY6 made their highly anticipated return on March 18th at 6 p.m. KST.
The eighth mini-album FOUREVER is the quartet’s first release in almost three years and is led by the title song, “Welcome To The Show.”
Complemented by elements of the progressive house genre, this anthemic post-Britpop track evokes overwhelming emotions on a grandiose scale. The song is a serenade to those who stand together on the stage of the world while also speaking to the gratitude DAY6 feels toward fans who waited for the band all this time.
Member Young K penned the lyrics, presenting yet another meaning to the track’s universal message as the singer/bassist has been the sole member of DAY6 left while waiting for his fellow members to complete their military service. Additionally, the track was composed by Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, and JYP Entertainment producer Hong Jisang.
Popular actors Yoo Seungho and Choi Heejin star in the music video for “Welcome To The Show.” The pair play opposite each other in a romantic love story that unfolds among clips of an elated DAY6 performing on stage together again.
