On August 16th at 12 p.m. KST, CRAXY returned with their third mini-album WHO AM I and the music video for one of its two title tracks, “Undercover.”
The song is a hip-hop-based dance track that features a combination of sharp drums and dark vocal patterns. The addictive hook from the memorable chorus is mesmerizing as it sounds like chanting a spell. Written and composed by Kevin D, 1000, Dr. J, and Rayker Dane of producing team D_answer, its lyrics are a sharp and dark portrayal of the desire to hide and conquer an opponent.
The music video shows a grotesque atmosphere and gritty production.. It contains a powerful dance performance with the choreography created by dance team BBTrippin who faithfully captured the essence of the track. CRAXY’s intention is to showcase the capabilities of girl groups who are still rarely given such choreography compared to their male counterparts.
Meanwhile, the second title song “Requiem” is an electric pop song that is grand and cinematic. It is a true follow-up to the previous track as it depicts the penance and redemption from the corruption experienced in “Undercover.”
WHO AM I contains six distinct songs and the group’s company, SAI Entertainment, has revealed plans to film a music video for every track in order to create CRAXY’s own kind of blockbuster movie.
