WATCH: CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa Entices In Long-Awaited “Your City” Comeback MV

CNBLUE‘s Jung Yong Hwa is here!

On September 14th at 6 p.m. KST, the second-generation singer made a comeback with his second EP along with a music video for its title track, “Your City.”

The alternative indie song combines rock and retro with a catchy whistle lead, a funky electric guitar sound, and a low-pitched riff as it sings about leaving behind a lover who has changed so much from the person they fell in love with. It was co-written by Jung Yong Hwa himself with Wang Yubin and Sooyoon. The singer also co-composed the track alongside Jacob Aaron (THE HUB), EL CAPITXN, and Vendors (Louis).

Jung Yong Hwa’s second mini-album, YOUR CITY, comes six years after his last domestic solo album, DO NOT DISTURB (2017). The EP contains a total of six songs and the singer took part in writing and composing all of them.

Jung Yong Hwa debuted thirteen years ago as the leader and main vocalist of the Korean band, CNBLUE. Before joining the band, he debuted as an actor in 2019 and played roles in several hit dramas such as “You’re Beautiful,” “Heartstrings,” “A Gentleman’s Dignity,” “Marry Him If You Dare,” and more.

Katherine grew up watching Korean dramas and other Asian shows. Although she first learned to appreciate Korean music through OSTs broadcasted locally, it wasn’t until 2011 that she properly paid attention to K-pop. She holds a fondness for SEVENTEEN and NCT and would recommend (G)I-DLE, Dreamcatcher, and XG to whoever cared to listen. She reads just about anything and is currently easing back into full novels.
