On August 24th at 6 p.m. KST, CL returned with a music video for one of her pre-release singles, “SPICY.”
The song, which highlighted her strong-minded personality, was written by Fabian Mazur, Baauer, HOLLY, CL, Bonique, and Sokodomo while Baauer took charge of production.
ALPHA, CL’s first solo album after leaving YG Entertainment, was initially scheduled to be unveiled in November of last year, but after some reconsideration, she announced that she decided to push back its release. Another digital single will pre-revealed in September before her main album drops in October.
She inked a management contract with Kang Daniel‘s KONNECT Entertainment earlier this year in preparation for her comeback promotions and other domestic activities.
CL previously dropped music videos for “+Hwa+” and “+5 Star” last year before sharing the emotionally raw track “Wish You Were Here” as a tribute for her late mother in February.
