Chungha is back!
The MNH Entertainment superstar singer and performer dropped part one of her second full-length studio album Bare&Rare on July 11th at 6 p.m. KST.
Separated into two chapters, part one “Bare” contains Chungha’s personal feelings while part two “Rare” explores new musical avenues. The lead single of Bare&Rare Pt.1 titled “Sparkling,” is a pleasing summer song with bubbly retro beats and addictive synth melodies. Chungha’s sweet vocals paired with electric guitar in the chorus elevate the track, creating a light and airy atmosphere.
Just like each of the eight songs on the record, Chungha herself participated in writing the lyrics for “Sparkling.” The track’s composition was produced by composers BXN and Byun Moohyuk (also known as Prime Time). The music video is a visual delight as the former I.O.I member imagines herself exploring underwater worlds complete with vibrant coral, colorful seashells, and mermaid-inspired outfits.
