Celeb Five is back as a four-member team with their retro track, “Shutter“!
This is the group’s first comeback since January when they first debuted.
Keeping with the group’s retro theme, it has “an exciting synth pop with the disco feel of the 80s, featuring a strongly addictive melody.” UV‘s Muzie was revealed to have arranged and produced the song while Kim Shin Young participated in creating the witty lyrics. Veteran actor Lee Duck Hwa also featured in the music video.
Celeb Five is a creative and comical bunch, its members are all prominent comediennes in Korea. Composed of Song Eun Yi, Shin Bong Sun, Ahn Young Mi, Kim Young Hee, and Kim Shin Young, they broke into the K-pop scene with wildly popular track, “I Wanna Be A Celeb.” It started a viral phenomenon with the weirdly addictive tune and choreography that both idols and fans alike performed with enthusiasm.
On October 11, it was announced that member Kim Young Hee ‘graduated’ from the group and will not be joining them in their next comeback. The group will continue their activities as four.
