On December 2nd at 2 p.m. KST, BTS‘ leader RM released his first solo album and a music video for its title track, “Wild Flower.”
Written by RM alongside producer Docskim, it expresses the singer’s struggle to balance fame and authenticity. Singer Cho Youjeen of the rock band Cherry Filter joins in to add her own unique musical flavor as well as an airy soaring feel to the song.
Indigo is RM’s first solo album and includes 10 tracks in total. Through this collection, he showcases exciting collaborations with fellow artists Erykah Badu, Anderson .Paak, Tablo, Kim Sawol, Paul Blanco, Mahalia, Colde, and Park Jiyoon.
RM himself wrote and composed for each of the songs and led the planning of the album’s concept, design, and composition. He also took part in creating its accompanying music video which was directed by Woogie Kim. RM last released a solo mixtape called mono. way back in October 2018.
