BTOB‘s Minhyuk has released his first Korean solo album!
On January 15th, Minhyuk (HUTA), revealed his new title track, entitled “YA,” along with the song’s music video.
“YA” is a song about feeling alive and excited by letting yourself crumble before a lover. Minhyuk himself wrote and co-composed the song.
The music video placed emphasis on the dominant use of black and white white Minhyuk also played into contrasts by presenting an imposing presence as he dances on a barren background with a thunderstorm raging overhead. He then shows a lonelier side of him in scenes where he looks out over the city during a rainy night.
HUTAZONE is a self-composed album containing eleven songs: “Hutazone,” “Ya,” “You too? Me too!” (featuring (G)I-DLE‘s Soyeon), “Pretending To Be Fine,” “It Must Be A Dream” (featuring Sungjae), “Falling Flower Petals” (interlude), “Fallin’,” “All Day” (Korean version), “Purple Rain” featuring Cheeze, “Tonight,” and “Waiting For You.”
Minhyuk released his first Korean solo track in 2017, but this new album marks his first full album in Korea.
Minhyuk is due to enlist as a conscripted policeman on February 7th, making him the third member of BTOB to enlist after Eunkwang and Changsub.
