BLACKPINK‘s Lisa drops another astounding track featuring the sultry Spanish singer, Rosalía! On August 16th at 9 a.m. KST, Lisa released her latest single “New Woman” along with its music video.
The “Y2K-inspired” electronic pop song is an addictive anthem of breaking free from their old self and finding a reinvigorated identity after suffering so much pain to get to where they are now. Its lyrics were written by Lisa and Rosalía alongside Tove Lo, Tove Burman, Max Martin, and ILYA. Director Dave Meyers is behind the “New Woman” music video which is a visual masterpiece.
“New Woman” is Lisa’s second release off her upcoming studio album following June’s feisty “ROCKSTAR” reveal. It is also her second drop under her self-established agency, LLOUD, which was launched after she departed from YG Entertainment.

Katherine grew up watching Korean dramas and other Asian shows. Although she first learned to appreciate Korean music through OSTs broadcasted locally, it wasn’t until 2011 that she properly paid attention to K-pop. She holds a fondness for SEVENTEEN and NCT and would recommend (G)I-DLE, Dreamcatcher, XG, and KISS OF LIFE to whoever cared to listen.
