BLACKPINK‘s Jennie has released her debut solo single “Solo“!
Jennie officially released “Solo” on November 12th at 6 PM KST through online music distributors. “Solo” is a hip-hop track with a pop-influenced twist written by YG Entertainment‘s house producer Teddy and composed by both Teddy and 24.
“Solo” effortlessly combines BLACKPINK’s trademark hip-hop sound with Jennie’s particular charms, all boldly on display in the song’s music video.
Before the release of the track, Jennie performed “Solo” for the very first time during BLACKPINK’s solo concert series at Seoul’s Olympics Gymnastics Arena on November 10th and 11th.
Meanwhile, Jennie is the first member of BLACKPINK to get a solo release. However, the three other members – Jisoo, Rose, and Lisa – are also scheduled to release solo tracks in the next coming months.
