BLACKPINK has finally made another full-team release!
In collaboration with the mobile game PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds (PUBG), the group introduced a special dance-pop track called “Ready For Love.” The song was written by YG mainstay Teddy Park, KUSH, 24, VVN, and Bekuh Boom and has lyrics that exude the urgency and excitement of someone who is going to risk it all for romance.
The track was previously glimpsed during a recording clip in BLACKPINK’s Netflix documentary “Light Up The Sky” (2020) and was teased at their PUBG MOBILE digital concert. “The Virtual” concert premiered on July 22nd to 23rd in the Americas, while the rest of the world was able to watch it from July 23rd to 24th and July 30th to 31st.
This is the second collaboration between BLACKPINK and PUBG. The game previously played their music in the player lobby and offered special events for fans to promote the group’s first studio album, The Album (2020). “Ready For Love” is BLACKPINK’s first four-member song release in approximately two years.
