Brother-sister duo AKMU returned on June 3rd at 6 p.m. KST with their third mini-album LOVE EPISODE and the music video for title track “Hero.”
The song conveys a pleasant feeling of excitement with the confession “you are my hero” to a loved one. AKMU’s warm vocal tones create a magical and dreamy atmosphere, while the catchy chorus is deeply addictive and will make you smile.
“Hero” was written and composed by member Lee Chanhyuk, who has been the duo’s resident producer since their 2014 debut. The lyrics, which describe the change in emotions that magically grow from a cautious start, are complemented by Lee Suhyun‘s sweet tone and Chanhyuk’s sultry voice.
The music video has a fairytale concept which unfolds like a storybook filled with playful imagination. It contains various references to popular fairytales and even features animated scenes to further illustrate the magical feeling.
LOVE EPISODE is a continuation of AKMU’s previous albums SUMMER EPISODE and NEXT EPISODE in 2017 and 2021, respectively. The third mini-album contains six tracks including last year’s popular hit “Love Lee” from the duo’s fourth digital single and its B-side “Fry’s Dream.”
