On December 20th 6 p.m. KST, aespa returns with a remake of S.E.S‘s 1998 hit, “Dreams Come True”!
Originally introduced as “Like A Fool” (1996) by the Finnish duo Nylon Beat, SM Entertainment bought rights to the song and reworked it to be a single for S.E.S.
In the 2021 version, Risto Armas Asikainen, Choi Sunghee, Yoo Youngjin, and BoA wrote the lyrics while Yoo Youngjin, BoA, Shaun Kim, and BXN teamed up to produce the track. BoA also took part in creating the visual concept and choreography for aespa’s performance.
“Dreams Come True” (2021) is part of SMTOWN‘s “SM Remastering Project” which sees the company remastering over 300 of their older music videos, delighting fans with a mix of nostalgia and wonder at the higher quality video and audio finishes.
This song also marks aespa’s contribution to their label’s extensive “SMTOWN 20222: SMCU EXPRESS” project which guarantees the release of many futuristic activities and releases from SM Entertainment. A behind-the-scenes video will also be revealed on December 23rd KST which will feature aespa, BoA, and S.E.S.’s Bada.
