WATCH: aespa Shares Animated “Better Things” æ-aespa Version MV

On October 7th at 12 a.m. KST, aespa released a fully animated æ-aespa version music video for their English track, “Better Things!”

Written, composed, and arranged by Leroy Clampitt and Rachel Keen, the minimal up-tempo dance track contains a message of choosing to focus on more meaningful things instead of wasting precious time on those that aren’t worth it. It was originally released on August 18th KST with a refreshing summery music video infused with many magical elements.

This version follows four avatars representing Karina, Giselle, Winter, and Ningning having a fun pool party as well as a strange encounter with a mysterious being during their time together.

Katherine grew up watching Korean dramas and other Asian shows. Although she first learned to appreciate Korean music through OSTs broadcasted locally, it wasn’t until 2011 that she properly paid attention to K-pop. She holds a fondness for SEVENTEEN and NCT and would recommend (G)I-DLE, Dreamcatcher, and XG to whoever cared to listen. She reads just about anything and is currently easing back into full novels.
