AB6IX is back with their sixth EP Take A Chance on October 4th at 6 p.m. KST!
The title song “Sugarcoat” has an attractive sound as it combines the genres of soul, hip-hop, and R&B with a funky rhythm. The unique groove and addictive melody can be credited partly to AB6IX’s own Daehwi who composed the track with talented producers ROBBIN, Ji Woogeun, and singer-songwriter Elena Westermann. Daehwi has recently gained recognition for his producing ability through the KBS contest program “Listen Up.”
“Sugarcoat” contains charming lyrics written by Daehwi and rapper Woojin. Feelings of love are expressed through metaphors that compare the person you like to sweet sugar. Elena Westermann also contributed to the lyrics of the track. The music video is fun and vibrant, similar to the excitement of exploring a candy shop. Meanwhile, the quartet’s shining visuals are supported by fashion that includes looks from classic denim-on-denim to kitsch-inspired outfits.
AB6IX’s sixth EP Take A Chance contains a total of seven tracks, including the Korean version of “Chance.” The special fan song was released back in August as the group’s first English language track.
