On November 17th KST, 5TION returned with a new member and new music through their latest mini album, Rebirth.
The title track “Final Destination” is a trendy-sounding ballad layered with lyrical melodies and has a strong message with the song’s Korean title “넌 나를 죽이고 떠나” which translates to “You Kill Me And Leave.” 5TION’s unique emotional vocals and mournful lyrics are all over this track, creating a dramatic feeling as if watching a movie, differing from their previous work.
The album’s b-side track called “Stupid Game” is a mid-tempo R&B song that evokes nostalgic feelings, combining elements of hip-hop, and addictive acoustic guitar riffs. The group succeeds in showcasing each of the five members’ distinct vocal colors in a unique-sounding track, through both vocal and rap sections and sincere storytelling.
