Rising boy group 1TEAM — who had an exciting debut year in 2019 — returned on August 4th with their first digital single project, entitled “ULLAELI KKOLLAELI.”
Fusing elements of hip-hop, dance, and rock, the addictive and fast-paced track highlights the group’s distinct team appeal and unique voices. The song is the first title track to be written and composed by Texan-born main rapper BC. He has already created many B-side tracks of various genres on each 1TEAM album, raising expectations for the group’s self-producing skills and individual musical color.
The comical and sophisticated music video was directed by Hong Won-ki, the co-founder of the production company Zanybros, and portrays the group playing sensationalized and over-the-top versions of traditional and classic Korean games. The production level is super high and each scene and concept is eye-catching and feels fleshed out like a movie sequence.
Additionally, the fun and energetic dance performance shows 1TEAM’s whimsical and charismatic sides with exciting and unpredictable moves different from the group’s previous choreography. Choi Young-Joon, who participated in the choreography of some of Korea’s top performance groups such as Shinhwa, GOT7, and SEVENTEEN, created the trendy point dance for this track.
