2023 has been a defining year for boy group VANNER after gaining popularity thanks to their appearance and subsequent win on the reality competition “Peak Time.” This was followed by the quintet’s first comeback in 18 months with VENI VIDI VICI and their first string of fan concerts since their debut in 2019.
Now, two of its talented members, Taehwan and Gon, will be releasing “All I Want For Christmas Is You” on December 16th KST! The song is part of a global carol project by MF International, which invited the VANNER members to participate in the special event, and is a reinterpretation of the Mariah Carey classic.
Platinum-selling K-pop producer GLODY, who arranged the track, describes the song as “providing a unique feel” and highlights that “the rap part, not present in the original, was directly written by Gon, showing VANNER’s distinctive color.”
Leader and main vocalist Taehwan is beloved by listeners for his high vocal range and powerful delivery, characteristics that are expected to bring a unique freshness to the song. Meanwhile, Gon who is well-versed in various areas including visuals, physicality, rap, and dance is sure to have infused “All I Want For Christmas Is You” with his exciting energy.
By releasing this special carol together, the duo wish to become Santas returning a gift to their fans for all the love they’ve received this year. Look forward to their rendition of “All I Want For Christmas Is You” when it drops on December 16th KST!
