The Top 5 Cutest Music Videos Of 2018 (So Far)

Since the beginning of 2018, there have been many cutesy-themed comebacks. With this list however, WTK has compiled only the purest, sweetest music videos that Kpop has offered fans so far. Check out our list and discover your inner love for all things adorable and precious.

5) WJMK’s “Strong”

Kicking off our list is an unconventional kind of cute for Kpop. With a sub-group, there is always a toss up on whether or not the new arrangement can work well with the general audience, but when WJMK formed with two members from Weki Meki and two members from WJSN, no one expected the cuteness overload. Referencing spooky films such as The Ring and Scream, the playfulness between the members, and the so-so attitude towards the traditionally scary ghosts in sheets made over a million fans gush over the girls’ tongue-in-cheek debut.

4) A.C.E’s “Take Me Higher”

Bright colors? Check. Adorable smiles? Double check. Every Kpop fan knows that when a boy group has a bright concept, it’s bound to be cute. A.C.E delivers that cuteness on a platter. Mixing both a romantic and comedic atmosphere, the group expresses their sweetness with a twist of boyish wonder any fan would appreciate. While you’re swept away in the explosion of color and gaping into every member’s eyes, make note of their smirks and quirks or else you’ll be pulled into their world of pure adorableness.

3) MOMOLAND’s “Bboom Bboom”

Not only did this song become an international dance craze, it also made MOMOLAND a household name in South Korea. The classic sleek and sexy vibe combined with MOMOLAND’s natural aegyo had everyone “Bboom Bbooming” all the time, even if you weren’t a MOMOLAND fan before. Its catchy beat and even more catchy dance moves created a new twist on how cuteness will never die— as long as the pig-tails are high and the sass is wrapped in sweet, high-toned raps.

2) SHINee’s “I Want You”

There is only one unique group in Kpop that combines both impish charm and cuteness in a swirling mix of fresh music— and that’s SHINee! Each member has  their own way of expressing themselves, but together they make fans both laugh and melt with their use of color and wit. Their smiles and offbeat humor are only one of the basic factors in their cuteness equation. Add a bit of sass and great dance moves, and you have SHINee’s optimism rubbing off on your psyche. Their recent song “I Want You” was a sweet song with a nod to Jonghyun, but it has just the right amount of “cute” that Kpop fans are looking for. Watch this colorful video that features the members flying through the air, taking polaroid shots with a surfboard in space, and giving everyone a huge dose of retro-inspired coolness.

1) TWICE’s “What Is Love?”

Ah, yes. In our top spot is TWICE, the ultimate darlings of adorable, the queens of cute! Who wasn’t gushing over their deep but simple question in the MV “What Is Love?” The song made Kpop music video history with their many references to classic romantic films, innocent singing, and romantically-charged choreography. Disney princesses have nothing on these girls as they took on both the heroines and damsels-in-love attitudes. Their natural cuteness is why they are number one on this list. Most of the TWICE members are already in their twenties (although a few are still teens), but they manage to evoke a sense of youth and childlike curiosity that no can deny is irresistibly adorable.
