Suzy has officially made her solo debut with her first mini-album Yes? No?
The title track, entitled “Yes No Maybe,” was written by JYP Entertainment founder Park Jin Young. It’s a medium-tempo pop song that shows off the miss A singer’s vocal range and expression.
The music video uses a grungy, hazy vibe inspired by some of Hong Kong’s most classic films. In addition to being shot on location in Hong Kong, the nod to the famous film industry is evident in the opening and closing of the MV with its movie-like credits. The video tells the interesting story of a young woman who appears to have hit rock-bottom.
Suzy has already dropped a pre-release track that went on to achieve all-kill status on Korean charts. “Yes No Maybe” is expected to have the same success as the pre-release song.
