Super Junior‘s Yesung is set to return as an actor after a long time!
Yesung has been cast in the movie “The Girl Riding A Bulldozer” and will be playing the role of detective Go Yoo Seok.
“The Girl in the Bulldozer” tells the story of Hye Young (played by Kim Hye Yoon), who digs into the mysterious accident of her father. Meanwhile, Yesung leads the case by playing detective Go Yoo Seok, who is in charge of searching of her father’s whereabouts after the accident.
In 2016, Yesung made his big screen debut in the Japanese romantic-comedy movie “My Korean Teacher.” Playing the main character, he received enthusiastic responses from abroad and was invited to the Tokyo International Film Festival, the Hawaii International Film Festival, and the Australian Japanese Film Festival.
In addition, Yesung has been praised for his impressive performances in dramas such as JTBC’s “Awl” and OCN’s “Voice,” so expectations are high for his new role in the upcoming movie “The Girl Riding A Bulldozer.”
Meanwhile, Kim Hye Yoon made her debut in 2013 and went on to appear in numerous roles as an extra or in short films. She appeared in her first mainstream role in the 2018 series “Sky Castle” and shot to stardom with her stellar performance. Since then, she went on to star in the series “Extraordinary You” and the film “Midnight.”
Meanwhile, Yesung is set to release “Still Standing,” his mellow acoustic pop duet with Suran, on May 1st at 6 p.m. KST.
