Three years after going on a hiatus, Super Junior‘s Kangin has formerly announced his decision to leave the group.
On July 11th KST, the idol group member posted a plain black photo on his personal Instagram account, along with a personal message.
Kangin explained that with a heavy heart and after serious reflection, he has decided to let go of the name “Super Junior.”
He expressed his apology and gratitude towards the considerate members, the staff of his agency, and ELF who gave him their love for the past 14 years. He said that although he made a very late decision, he will continue to go on his own path with a grateful heart while cheering on Super Junior’s success.
Kangin went on hiatus after a second DUI incident in May 2016, but recently returned to the entertainment industry with “What Happened to Mirae?,” which premiered on May 31st.
Katherine has been an ELF since 2011. She reads just about anything and is a parent of eight demanding cats. She likes to stay home and worry about Heechul’s imminent balding during her free time.
