The ultimate King of K-pop himself is coming back with a new album and a very long-awaited world tour! That’s right, K-pop fans! SHINee’s Taemin has announced his comeback and tour!
On July 12th through 14th at the Jangchung Arena in Seoul, Taemin held the 2024 Taemin Fanmeeting: Never-Never. At the end of the final night, he asked fans to stay tuned for a special video.
July 18th is Taemin’s birthday, so fans were expecting something special, but imagine their excitement when the video revealed that Taeming would be making his comeback with his fifth studio album! In addition, the wonderful artist and dancer revealed that he would finally be embarking on the highly-requested and long-desired world tour that fans have been waiting on for years. Not only that, but the video revealed the good news would be starting for fans in August 2024.
Both in the venue and around the world, excitement broke out as fans who were also tuned in to watch as saw the news. The announcement quickly spread through the fandom on social media as well as fans began trending #TAEMINWORLDTOUR2024 and #TAEMIN5THMINIALBUM. Fans also brought up a game background used in his fanmeeting earlier that had listed various cities around the world, making them wonder if these were some of the cities that would be visited on his world tour. At the time it was used, fans already wondered if it was a hint for a tour, so now that the tour has been announced, fans are revisiting the game background to look at the list of cities once more for hints.
