After news broke that Hallyu star Kim Woo Bin had been diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer, many fans were left wondering what his longtime girlfriend was thinking about it all.
Shin Min Ah, famous actress and model, responded to the press’ curious questions through a very brief statement through her agency, “I am helping so that Kim Woo Bin can undergo his treatment well.”
It was revealed earlier today that the 27-year-old actor had been diagnosed with cancer, shocking the public with the news. According to WebMD, “Nasopharyngeal cancer is a rare type of head and neck cancer that starts in the upper part of your throat, behind the nose.” The cancer is most common in men under the age of 55 and of Asian ancestry. Although smoking increases your risk of this type of cancer, the main causes are a genetic issue, mixed with an earlier exposure to the Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV).
Shin Min Ah and Kim Woo Bin have been dating happily since 2015 after meeting through work.
