Shin Dong Yup has won the grand prize award at the 2016 SBS Entertainment Awards.
The entertainer was nominated for the award, along with Yoo Jae Suk, Kim Gura, Kim Gook Jin, and Kim Byung Man. At the end of the night however, it turned out to be Shin Dong Yup who took home the award.
Although the entertainer has been nominated for the award before, this was the first time he won the grand prize. Previous times, this category has been largely dominated by the nation’s MC Yoo Jae Suk.
Shin Dong Yup won the award for his work on “My Ugly Duckling” and “TV Animal Farm.”
The SBS Entertainment Awards are part of the larger SBS Awards Festival and recognize the best entertainers in the business. The SBS Awards Festival also holds SBS Gayo Daejeon (music) and SBS Drama Awards (television).
