Red Velvet Makes History By Topping Billboard World Albums Chart Three Times

Red Velvet’s latest album The Red Summer, featuring their track song “The Red Flavor,”  has set a new record on the Billboard World Albums Chart by achieving the No. 1 spot for this week.

The SMTOWN group is making history among Kpop girl groups by becoming the first one to have three albums reach number one on the Billboard World Albums Chart, overtaking big names such as f(x) and Girls’ Generation, senior girl groups at SMTOWN who all had two releases dominate the number one spot on Billboard’s chart.

Red Velvet already attained the top spot on the World Albums Chart with their past albums The Red and Rookie. Now, with the addition of The Red Summer becoming a number one album, they have set a new record among Kpop girl groups by becoming the only one to achieve three number one albums on this specific chart.

As for the other artist who came out on this week’s Billboard World Albums Chart, Block B‘s Zico came in at number three with his new solo album Television, G-Dragon’s latest album Kwon Ji Yong continues to sit at the number four spot, BTS continues running on their journey with You Never Walk Alone coming in at number twelve, and BLACKPINK is at number fifteen with their single album Square Two.

Congratulations to Red Velvet, as well as the other Kpop artists who made it on this week’s chart for top world albums!
