The second video shows him backstage as he waits to go onstage during filming of “Inkigayo.” In addition to the videos, Rain also posted a series of photos showing a timeline of his 19 years in the industry.

At the age of 16, he then debuted as a member of the short-lived boy group Fanclub. After two albums which failed to be a success, Rain then debuted in April 2002 as a soloist, and his career immediately took off with his debut album Bad Guy. He then released one hit after another, becoming a commercial and critical success both in Korea and abroad. He went on to become one of the first K-pop artists with successful overseas activities in the USA, even being named by TIME magazine as the number one person on their list of “100 Most Influential People Who Shape Our World” in 2006.
In 2003, Rain also made his acting debut and soon became another commercial and critical success for his acting chops as well. In addition to starring in many Korean dramas and movies, he also made his Hollywood debut in 2008 with “Speed Racer” before starring in the cult classic “Ninja Assassin” in 2009.
In 2013, Rain married is long-time girlfriend and fellow actress Kim Tae Hee. The couple recently welcomed their second child.
Congratulations to Rain on his long and successful career! We hope to see him active for many more years to come.
