It has been revealed that Han Dong Geun, singer at Pledis Entertainment, was caught driving under the influence of alcohol in late July.
After the singer went in on September 5th KST to cooperate with authorities for further inquiries, his label decided to released an official statement and apology.
It was revealed that the singer was caught by police on July 30th at approximately 11 p.m. KST in Bangbae-dong, Seoul. When he was stopped, he admitted to drinking and decided to fully cooperate with the police.
Pledis Entertainment apologized for his DUI incident and assured fans that Han Dong Geun was reflecting deeply on what he had done. In addition, they revealed he has halted all his activities in order to spend time reflecting on his actions. In addition, the label also apologized for not managing their artist properly and for allowing such an incident to occur, stating that they would now give proper education and classes about the dangers of drunk driving to all of the artists at the label.
There is no word yet on what Hang Dong Geun’s legal punishment will be for his DUI, so stay tuned for details.
