(UPDATED) Pledis Entertainment Says NU’EST Will Make Comeback This Fall

Great news for fans of “Produce 101.” The boys of NU’EST will be making a comeback this fall!

On June 19th KST, Pledis Entertainment released a statement and said that after conferring with the members, they have decided to hold a comeback later this year. They had originally spoken with the press earlier today to say that nothing had been confirmed and they would be talking with the members, but it seems like they have decided to strike while the iron is hot and take advantage of the members’ popularity from their “Produce 101” appearances.

Unfortunately, according to the new contracts put out this year by the survival show, Minhyun, who was chosen as one of the top 11, will not be allowed to promote with NU’EST and will be limited to promotions for Wanna One until they disband. However, Aron will be joining up with the other three members— Jonghyun (JR), Dongho (Baekho), and Minki (Ren)— and they will be promoting as a four member group for now. Aron was the only member who did not participate in “Produce 101” due to a leg injury.

Although an official date has not yet been announced, Pledis said they will work hard to repay fans for their kindness and support and will make the comeback happen this fall.

UPDATE: Since this article was published with Pledis’ original statement, they have released another statement to clarify. According to the new statement, they don’t have a time frame set and will need to allow the members a time of rest first. It seems like they may have jumped the gun a bit in promising a fall comeback and want to be sure the members have some off time first. See their updated statement below:

Hello, this is Pledis Entertainment.

We thank the nation’s producers who have shown so much love to Jonghyun, Minhyun, Minki, and Dongho during ‘Produce 101’ for the past four months, as well as the LOㅅEs [fandom] who have supported them on the road to this point.

As you know, Minhyun will be seeing fans as a Wanna One member until December 31st, 2018. We will also do our best so Minhyun can give back all the love he has received so far.

Also, Jonghyun, Minki, and Dongho will be preparing to meet fans once again with Aron, who has been waiting during the ‘Produce 101’ period. Jonghyun, Minki, and Dongho’s break is first and foremost, so we do not have things in detail. But we will work hard so the fans who have been waiting for and supporting them can see the four of them soon.

We will all work hard so that the road that Jonghyun, Minhyun, Minki, Dongho, and Aron have walked for the past five years, no matter how difficult, wasn’t for nothing and that their future road can be happy. We hope everyone can watch over their road always. We once again thank you for the love you have shown the five members.”

Who’s excited for a NU’EST comeback? Won’t it be great seeing the members active together again?
