Hallyu sensation BTS wasn’t the only artist to represent Kpop at the 2017 American Music Awards! GOT7‘s Jackson Wang was also on hand as a Alibaba Group’s Tmall representative and Chinese Music Ambassador.
Walking the red carpet, the Chinese star and Kpop idol looked amazing in a classic, black suit. In typical Jackson style, he quickly made friends with various celebrities on the red carpet, entertaining both press and fans alike.
During an interview with YOUKU, rapper Desiigner got drawn into the conversation and the two hit it off, acting like buddies despite just meeting each other for the first time.
As always, Jackson also made sure to show his fans lots of love as well. While other celebrities were busy with interviews or hurrying into the venue, Jackson went on his own to greet the many fans screaming his name, even stopping to talk to some and take selcas with them, impressing people with his kindness and warm heart towards fans.
After the event, he thanked everyone on SNS and promised people he would work hard to become a better solo artist in China, as well as a better member of GOT7.
Meanwhile, Jackson recently gained attention from international pop fans when he attended the 2017 MTV Awards in Europe. During an onscreen presentation, Jackson was standing next to One Direction member Liam Payne and quickly gained the attention of viewers for his classic good looks. He became a trending topic on Twitter with the hashtag #HotAsianGuy as fans asked to know the identity of “the guy next to Liam Payne.”
