A new series is soon heading to Netflix!
On September 25th, Netflix confirmed production for a new series entitled “So Not Worth It,” a sitcom about the lives and adventures of college students. All of the students live together in a dorm at their university, but as they each come from very different backgrounds and cultures, the plot will leave plenty of room for interesting stories and episodes.
The sitcom has confirmed the casting of up-and-coming actress Park Se Wan (“Never Twice,” “School 2017”) as the Korean resident in charge of the dorm. Rookie actor Shin Hyeon Seung is a new student with a mysterious secret. GOT7‘s Choi Youngjae plays the son of a wealthy business owner based in Australia. (G)I-DLE‘s Minnie is making her acting debut in the series as a a Hallyu-obsessed exchange student from Thailand. Model and actor Han Hyun Min will play a student who wants to live in the dorm due to his long commute every day.
Meanwhile, the series is being created by a team already well-versed in the sitcom format: Kwon Ik Joon (Three Guys And Three Girls,” “Nonstop”) and producer Kim Jung Sik (“Smashing on Your Back,” “High Kick”).
With Korea being fans of the more commonly known K-dramas and series instead of sitcoms, Netflix stated, “With production and casting confirmed, So Not Worth It stands poised to reignite enthusiasm for the sitcom format with its unique take on the genre.”
